When fresh observations support recurring delivery

Recurring access makes sense when new data improves a continuing use case. Repeated delivery of the same archive does not create fresh value.

Identify what changes

Examples include new failure modes, changing product behavior or updated measurements. Ask how frequently the buyer actually needs fresh observations and which changes would make older material less relevant.

Design the update contract

Specify delivery cadence, format, change notices, error handling and what happens if a source becomes unavailable. Define whether corrections replace prior versions or arrive as separate events. Every update needs to remain within approved rights and handling controls.

Test sustainable operations

Measure the effort to review, prepare and deliver a limited batch. Include security, quality and privacy work in the cost. Expand only after both parties understand the use case and recurring obligations; a technically working feed alone is not a sustainable licensing business.
